First, our commitment to you

At Doctolib, people make hiring decisions, not AI. We will never let AI make hiring decisions or evaluate your fit for a role or your performance during interviews. These decisions remain exclusively the responsibility of our hiring team. We use AI only to support tasks like organizing notes, scheduling interviews, or building content. Our recruiters and interviewers receive training and resources on using AI responsibly and according to local regulations (such as the EU AI Act and GDPR). We emphasize human oversight, transparency, and non-discrimination.Here are the guidelines we share with recruiters and interviewers:

We don’t ask AI to express opinions about candidates or to make decisions about rejecting or moving an application forward in the recruiting process.
We don’t ask AI to rate CVs, cover letters, or interview answers; judge the relevance of your experience; or assess how your competencies align with job requirements.
We don’t ask AI to rate candidates based on personal information or protected characteristics (such as age or gender).
We don’t share information or protected characteristics with public AI tools.

How you can use AI transparently

To keep our process fair and transparent, here are guidelines for how you can use AI during your recruiting process.We consider AI a skill, not a shortcut. AI should support your work, not replace it. Your application should reflect your own skills, experience, and way of thinking. We encourage you to be transparent about it, showing how you used it. Be ready to explain and reproduce your work without AI to demonstrate your skills. We may also ask follow-up questions or run live exercises (without AI) to validate skills and understanding.Second, please protect your data and others’ privacy, not sharing personal or sensitive information with public AI tools (for example, names, contact details, health or financial information, or content covered by NDAs). Anonymize personal data or use synthetic examples when needed, and only upload materials that don’t contain any personal data.For certain deliverables, align with EU AI requirements (such as the EU AI Act), emphasizing human oversight, transparency, and non-discrimination.

When AI adds value to your application

Improve clarity and structure:

Check grammar, spelling, and formatting with AI
Use AI to summarize or rephrase your own experiences for better impact.
Example: “I used AI to help me condense my project description into bullet points that highlight my leadership and problem-solving skills.”

Prepare efficiently:

Research the company, role, or industry trends.
Plan your approach to case studies or technical questions.
Generate practice interview questions or simulate interviews.
Example: “I asked AI to generate a list of common interview questions for a product manager role at a health tech company, then practiced my answers.”

Translate or assist accessibility needs:

Use AI for language support, drafting assistance, or to accommodate disabilities.
Example: “I used AI to translate my CV into English and to help me draft a response to a written question due to my dyslexia.”

Brainstorm and ideate:

Use AI to help you outline a project plan, generate ideas for a case study, or identify relevant skills for a role.
Example: “I used AI to brainstorm a list of metrics I could use to evaluate the success of a product launch, then selected the ones most relevant to my experience.”

AI use we don’t accept

Generate or complete assessments:

Don’t use AI to produce your entire case study, coding tasks, take-home assignments, writing samples, or design assets.
Example of what NOT to do: Submitting an AI-generated business plan as your own without any personal input or analysis.

Invent or exaggerate experience, skills, or achievements:

Don’t use AI to invent scenarios, create fake references, or claim skills you don’t possess.
Example of what NOT to do: Asking AI to “write a story about a time I led a team through a crisis” when you have no such experience.

Use real-time tools to feed your answers during interviews:

Don’t use AI chatbots, voice clones, hidden prompts, or live “whisper” assistants to generate or feed you answers during live interviews.

Submit content that includes copied, unlicensed, or non-attributable material:

Don’t submit code, designs, or written content that you can’t explain, license, or attribute properly.
Example of what NOT to do: Copying AI-generated code into your take-home assignment without understanding how it works or ensuring it’s open-source or properly licensed.

How to be transparent about AI use

If AI significantly helped with your assignment, we recommend including a brief note at the top or end of your submission stating: “AI assistance disclosure: I used [tool name] to [for example: outline structure, check grammar, generate test data]. All analysis, decisions, and final wording are my own.”
For code or design tasks, mark any AI-generated snippets and confirm licensing is compatible with open publication or commercial use and be ready to walk us through your choices: “// This function was generated with AI using the prompt: ‘Write a Python function to sort a list of patient IDs by appointment time.’ I reviewed, tested, and adapted it for our specific use case.”
