Over the past decade, we’ve built a full Operating System (OS) for health professionals. This OS aims to free and augment health professionals in three ways: provide the best care possible to their patients, have a better working life, and grow their revenues.

For patients, we want to turn care into a daily reflex, thanks to our Health Companion. It enables patients to: find and access care easily, manage the relationship with Health Professionals, and engage into preventive and self-care.

This product vision is sustained by strong commitment for an ethical healthcare innovation, which has been recognized in 2025 as we become BCorp certified.

People’s health will probably benefit the most from advances in AI. It will help health professionals to spend way less time digging for data. AI in hiring: what we do, what we expect from you

At Doctolib, people, not AI, make hiring decisions. We will never use AI to make hiring decisions or to evaluate your fit for a role or your performance during interviews. These decisions remain exclusively the responsibility of our hiring team.

To keep our process fair and transparent both ways, we also have some expectations on how you’ll use AI during your recruiting process. Using AI is a skill, not a trick. We encourage you to use AI, while being transparent about it, showing meaningful and efficient use, and protecting your own and others’ data privacy.

Your hiring experience at Doctolib

First meetings with our TA team

Your journey with us begins with our Talent Acquisition team. This initial conversation is designed to be welcoming and informative. We’ll learn about your background, motivations, and career aspirations while sharing details about the role and our culture.

Our TA team will also walk you through what to expect in the following steps and answer any questions you might have about Doctolib.

Hiring manager interview

This is where you’ll meet the person who could become your future manager. It’s one of the most important conversations because we believe great managers are key to great experiences. This is also your chance to understand the team dynamics, challenges, and opportunities that lie ahead.

Technical interviews

For roles requiring specific technical skills, we’ll arrange focused conversations and live exercises with team members who work in similar areas. These sessions explore your expertise, problem-solving approach, and how you handle real-world challenges.

Feel free to ask about our tech stack, methodologies, and the technical challenges the team is currently tackling.

Case studies

Some roles include practical exercises that simulate real work scenarios. These might be take-home assignments or live sessions where you work through problems similar to those you’d encounter in the role. We design these to be respectful of your time while giving both you and us a clear picture of how you approach work.

We’ll always provide clear instructions and realistic timeframes.

Reference check

We conduct reference checks to better understand your working style and impact in previous roles. We’ll always ask for your permission first and be transparent about who we’re contacting and what we’re discussing.

For some sensitive positions, we’ll also process a verification of your criminal record.

Offer

If we decide to move forward together, we’ll present a comprehensive offer. This includes not just compensation but also benefits, growth opportunities, and everything else that makes Doctolib a great place to work.

Onboarding

Your first days and weeks are crucial for setting you up for success. During your first week with us you’ll attend the Doctolib Academy, a four days bootcamp where you’ll be introduced to Doctolib’s values, strategy and organization. You’ll also meet Stan, our CEO.

Then, within your new department and team, over the following 3 to 4 weeks, you’ll have dedicated time to blend into your team with onboarding on the job, presentation of your team’s strategy, ways of working and tools.

Our interview model

Our interviews are designed as collaborative conversations. While our interviewers have key questions and topics to explore with you, we encourage genuine dialogue throughout. Feel free to share your own questions and insights, especially when meeting your future manager or potential teammates.

Rather than a one-sided evaluation, we see interviews as mutual discovery. We want to understand how you work, think, and collaborate, while giving you the opportunity to learn about us, our challenges, and our culture. Both you and we are evaluating fit, so come prepared with examples that showcase your impact and questions that help you understand if Doctolib is the right next step for you. Think about what is important to you in your next career step and why you’re applying.

Our interview questions focus on job-relevant topics, exploring your experience and potential for the specific role to ensure our conversations stay meaningful and purposeful. We’ll also discuss how your approach aligns with our ways of working, because cultural fit matters just as much as technical skills.

Our questions are often experience-based, inviting you to share specific situations where you’ve demonstrated key competencies. They can also be situational, asking you to think through a potential scenario and how you would address it. Our goal is to understand your thought process and problem-solving approach. We’re not expecting uniform “perfect answers” from everyone.

What you can expect: warm, conversational interactions with clear explanations of what we’re looking for and plenty of space for your own questions.

Practical tips

If your interview is virtual, make sure you’re in a quiet room with a good internet connection and lightning.

If your interview is in person, show up 10 minutes early and bring an ID with you. We will need to verify your identity to give you access to our offices. About dress-code, bring your authentic self, but if you’re not sure about it, go with business casual.

We’re constantly learning and evolving our hiring process because every candidate deserves an exceptional experience. Whether you receive an offer or we decide not to move forward together, we’re committed to treating every candidate with respect and transparency.

If we’re not moving forward

We understand that hearing ‘no’ is never what you’re hoping for, but we believe in being honest, timely, and constructive. You’ll generally hear from us within 6 working days.

If we won’t move forward after your application, you will receive an email once the recruiter has reviewed it.

If you’ve reached at least the first hiring manager interview, we will always take time to share the feedback in a conversation based on two principles: we’re empathetic, because we genuinely appreciate the time you’ve invested, and we’re prepared, because you deserve thoughtful, specific feedback rather than generic
